Support Our Research
Rowow is an early-stage company on a mission to make precious metal and critical mineral recovery cleaner, cheaper, and fully domestic. SEM TECH, our salt-based electrochemical process, is open source. Your support helps us accelerate research, publish open tooling, and grow the ecosystem.
Why this matters
The United States has little domestic capacity for platinum group metals and many critical minerals, and most rare earth processing sits overseas. SEM TECH recovers precious metals, rare earths, and 53 of the 60 US critical minerals from ore, tailings, and waste in one closed-loop process, while cleaning heavy metals out of the environment.
Where we stand
- Filed U.S. non-provisional patent application #19/531,984.
- Independent press coverage from Hackaday and NightHawkInLight.
- Open-source membrane design released under CERN-OHL-S, with independent builders replicating it.
- Lab-grade analysis in house using a Rigaku NEX DE XRF spectrometer.
- US-based and independent, built in Florida.
Ways to support
Fund the research
Every contribution funds equipment, materials, testing, and open documentation.
Partner or run a pilot
If you operate a mine, a recycling stream, or a tailings site, we would like to talk. Book a paid intro call and the rate is shown when you book, or email us first.
Grants and institutions
We welcome grant programs, universities, and government partners working on domestic critical mineral supply. Reach us at info@rowow.net.
Contribute to the open source
The membrane design and process notes are public. Fork the repository, build it, and improve it.
