Most refiners handle gold and silver but struggle with the platinum group metals, and in the United States there is almost no domestic PGM refining. SEM TECH recovers gold and the full platinum group spectrum from ore and concentrate in one closed-loop electrochemical process that runs on saltwater and electricity.

What we recover

Gold, silver, and the full platinum group: platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, and ruthenium. The leaching chemistry, hydrochloric acid plus sodium chlorate, is strong enough to dissolve rhodium and iridium, and it regenerates electrochemically on every cycle.
